It has become clear that the 4th amendment to the Constitution is getting in the way of the fight against terrorism. Unfortunately, the idea that people should have a right to be free of unreasonable searches has become rather quaint in these post 9/11 times. Liberals, Libertarians, and others that are insufficiently in love with the National Security State, and insufficiently patriotic, are trying use the 4th amendment as a bulwark in retaining Americans' right to privacy; the very existence of the amendment is hampering the almighty federal government and NSA in their efforts to make sure that all of our communications are harmless. Repealing the 4th amendment would give the FBI, NSA and local police forces the free hand they need in combating terrorists and other nefarious characters
