begin the process of eliminating the Electoral College and start using the popular vote to elect the President.

Created by W.F. on January 27, 2013

We believe that the Electoral College does not provide all citizens with a vote of equal weight.
We believe the Electoral College is subject to partisan gerrymandering, and no political party should be able to influence the presidential election by changing policies at the state and district level.
We believe that the winner of the Presidential and Vice Presidential election should be the individuals who receive the most votes (i.e. who wins the popular vote). This will make the outcomes of elections dependent on the votes of all citizens, not just the "battleground states." It will also prevent a candidate who received more overall votes from losing the election.
