Begin the Process to Repeal the 16th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.

Created by N.H. on November 14, 2012

Whereas, the roll of government in the lives of the citizenry has exceeded its budgetary confines

Whereas, the original revenue income for the Federal Government of the United States of America was derived from Tariffs on foreign goods

Whereas, the original budget for the Federal Government was to maintain the military, government facilities, and postal routes

Whereas, the original text of the Constitution of the United States of America, Article I, Section 9 states: "No Capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be laid, unless in Proportion to the Census or enumeration herein before directed to be taken."

Therefore, we the People request that the 16th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America be considered for repeal.
