Mr. President,
We the people ask that in all future speeches you refrain from referring to the United States as a democracy as the United States of America is not a democracy it is a Constitutional Federal Republic. As a former law professor you should know that there is an important and very clear distinction between a democracy and Republic. A democracy is a tyranny of the majority over the minority; a Republic is the rule of law and recognition of the inalienable rights of individual. With this in mind we ask that you henceforth refer to this country as a Republic as we are a Republic and not a democracy.
