Begin a reform on the glaring abuse of power currently existing in Congress.

Created by M.J. on December 22, 2011

Congress has had too much power for too long - they are just as guilty for our current economic situation as any of the banks or stock brokers on Wall St. The founding fathers never intended for representatives of the people to make a career out of that service. It is meant to be an honor and privilege, not a power to be abused. If we want to see changes in our country, the people who make our laws need to be held accountable for past decisions they have made to benefit only themselves (receiving pensions even after their terms have ended, specialized health insurance, pay raises voted for without the approval of the people, etc). Decisions should not be made based on how they will impact re-election potential. They should be made to benefit the American people.
