begin retiring the B-52 bomber, which was once an important part of our military capabilities, but has become obsolete.

Created by J.H. on November 16, 2012

The B-52 bomber was designed to support long range bombing missions similar to those conducted in WWII. While this aircraft is a proud symbol of our American military heritage, it has become irrelevant to our modern day military strategy. We no longer conduct large bombing raids, and would be unlikely to do so in the future. Modern warfare utilizes ever more precise and targeted strikes.

Simply put, sustaining the B-52 drains resources that could be put to better use in other areas of our military. Please retire this aircraft.
