Begin shifting food subsidy money towards sustainable agriculture and related research.

Created by B.S. on February 12, 2013

We the people ask that our money, which is currently used to control the price of conventionally produced agricultural products, is shifted towards supporting farmers who produce food in a sustainable manner. In addition, either a portion of the aforementioned funds, or a matching contribution, shall be dedicated to research which enhances our knowledge of sustainable farming practices. We believe that government spending should better reflect the desires of that portion of citizens who want access to unadulterated, biologically and environmentally sound foods, and at a reasonable cost.
