Begin taxing churches.

Created by N.F. on December 17, 2012

We lose upwards of $71 billion a year from the tax exemptions of churches. That's roughly 28 Mars rover missions a year. Ever wonder how may homeless and impoverished we could feed, clothe, and house in America for $71 billion? All of them. With more than 70 billion to spare. (According to World Food Programme, 3 billion would feed every hungry child in the world - so it's not a stretch to say that $1 billion would cover America's hungry).

Then we could spend the remaining 70 billion each year to provide medical care for the entire country. (According to truecostblog.com "Universal heal care would cost $70 billion for 2009 if enacted..." 5/13/2009)

Or we could go to church and pray to God to end disease and hunger.
