Prejudice against an entire ethnic group only because a hand-full of them committed horrendous acts is a serious problem that currently affects thousands of Syrians trying to better their lives by immigrating to the United States. Yet, prejudice towards these immigrants should not stop the United States from allowing them in the country. It is understandable if these immigrants must go through an extensive screening process to be granted a visa; however, denying them the opportunity to create a new life for themselves should not be an option. It is important that you, whether you are a parent, teacher, or simply a citizen of the United States, take action and show those who discriminate others based on their ethnic group or religion that prejudice is not the solution to the problem.
