94% of the population of the Earth uses the metric system. The metric system is easier to use, easier to learn, and helps to keep confusion to a minimum. The United States has held on to using the Imperial System for far too long.
The transition to metric may be initially difficult for some people, but in the long run it will save us time and money. We should begin that transition now and not leave ourselves out of sync with 94% of the world.
