The American people deserve to know what candidates in other parties, besides Democratic and Republican, stand for. The best way to introduce the American people to these candidates, is by allowing them to participate in presidential debates. According to the Nielsen Holdings, more than 67 million people watched the first presidential debate between President Obama, and Governor Romney on October 3rd, 2012. If all candidates on the ballot participated in debates, news outlets would be more likely to cover candidates from other parties, and candidates that have opposing views than the candidates representing the Republican and Democratic Parties. It's time the American people got to know every candidate on the ballot, so they can make an educated decision when it comes time to them to vote.
