Benefits for Congress and the Administration

Since Congress and the Administration feel that Social Security and Medicare can be cut for others, the members of Congress and the Administration (“Members”) should be forced to live with their own rules,

All benefits other than Social Security and Medicare should be abolished. Members would get credit for any years in service even if they did not contribute to the programs as of the date enacted. Then Members would contribute just as other Americans do.

Members cannot create a special category for themselves and can not take any action strictly for Members. This would insure a living wage safety net for us all. It would save money as the high cost of Member benefits would be eliminated and it would give Social Security and Medicare additional funds to perform in the way that they
