In so far as Jon Stewart, through the format of his Daily Show, has done a great service to his country by exposing fraud, hypocrisy, and lies used to confuse and mislead the general citizenry of the United States, we humbly ask President Barack Obama to award him the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He gently guided us through so much confusion during elections - primaries and generals. He exposed the liars and the heroes. He was a constant source of comfort and information that was not easily accessible or understandable. He was a beacon in a world of much darkness. He showed us how to laugh in the face of despair. Please acknowledge all the good he has done during his 16 year tenure on the air.
