Jeff Bauman, critically injured in the terrorist attack on the 2013 Boston Marathon, immediately upon waking from life saving surgery requested pen and paper to communicate eye witness testimony about the suspect that tried to murder hundreds of Americans.
Carlos Arredondo, having witnessed the attacks, selflessly rushed into the dangerous scene to render aid including helping save Jeff Bauman's life.
Their efforts exemplify the ideals of the Presidential Citizens Medal.
