Active Duty military women do not have adequate reproductive healthcare. When women need a regular Pap test they do not get to see an Obstetrician or Gynecologist (OB/GYN). Instead they must see their primary care physician, a regular M.D. or nurse practitioner.
The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists states that women should have an annual OB/GYN exam whether they need a Pap Test or not. Now that Pap tests are only recommended every 2-3 years, many women in the military will not see a doctor or nurse of any kind for their reproductive health for several years.
Please consider a Tricare option that provides all women Active Duty service members with annual OB/GYN exams.
