Better support veterans that have combat focused skills and/or disabilities that severely limit their employability.

Created by J.H. on November 11, 2014

There are too many service men and women that served in OIF and OEF that struggle to find jobs once on the civilian side. Those who served in combat focused occupational specialties and suffered service related disabilities are often left with limited civilian occupational skills and limited physical abilities to find positions they are qualified for in the civilian sector.

The federal point system does not seem to be working. It is too often that we here about "buddy system" hiring in federal positions where non-selects were more qualified. Oftentimes over point preference. This system does not seem monitored or enforced.

If a veteran has left the military after honorable discharge due to physical constraint, they and their families deserve a program that creates better opportunities.
