A better way to pay legislators, to ensure the right people are representing the people and not their own greed.

Created by D.S. on January 15, 2013

Legislators should be paid according to their effectiveness; evaluated based on job growth, economic growth, and survey of satisfaction by the people they represent. Congressmen should not be earning a $174,000 salary if they cannot provide legislation to support economic growth that offers steady jobs with reliable income.
As a member of Congress their job is to represent the needs of the people they were elected by, and they currently only represent themselves. Despite being unable to reach a deal to avoid the ‘fiscal cliff’ Congress is getting another pay raise in 2013.
We need to advocate for ourselves since our legislators have made it clear they will not. Vote to put all legislators,Congressmen, even the President on a pay scale that reflects how well they represent the people.
