Energy. We use it everyday, in our cars, our appliances, and even in the computer you are reading this on. But if we don't want to limit our use, we must find a sustainable energy source.
In Scandinavia, especially Norway and Sweden, they have put into affect large off-coast wind farms that generate fairly large cities and thousands of homes. Such inovative technology would make great use for a major coastal metropolis like Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and New York City.
Also in much of our western states, such as New Mexico, Arizona and part of California, massive solar farms could be installed in major plots of desert. With the amount of sunlight those states get annually, it could save thousand if not millions of dollars.
