A Bill to Require a Secure Backup System to Electronic Voting Machines, and That the Machines be Tamper Proof

Created by B.W. on October 27, 2011

There continue to be a problem with the security of electronic voting machines:

1. Votes can be easily lost and non-recoverable.
2. Electronic voting machines as they now exist are not tamper resistant and allows for unscrupulous manipulation by persons wanting to rig votes.
3. Electronic voting machines as they now exist have not been through rigorous testing and debugging allowing for erroneous voting.
4. Computerized machines lost votes.
5. Subtracted votes instead of adding them.
6. Doubled votes.
7. There exist no ability to audit electronic voting, and there is no paper or electronic backup system for an audit trail.
8. Poor accuracy in calculating votes.

These machines as they exist now are rife for fraudulent attempts and there are no safeguards against fraud. Sign this petition.
