This is For the Birds (Malheur National Wildlife Refuge)

Created by N.I. on January 07, 2016

In light of the recent developments at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge and the Occupation of the refuge by an armed militia claiming rights to the land under public use, we the people of these United States so claim public use rights and petition the federal government to end the occupation through a peaceful resolve, freeing the birds.

The continued occupation of a few individuals has indirectly affected the feeding, mating, and migratory habits of the birds within range of the refuge.

The refuge is home to a great variety of beautiful birds, our birds, and without the ability to check on and maintain the well-being of the birds, we the people view the hostel takeover of a federal refuge as a hostel act against the birds --

The birds are technically being held hostage.
