i feel government workers work hard and deserve a day and time with their families on Black Friday. It's good for the economy as more shoppers can shop which can in the long run create more jobs and improve our nation. Also with many taking leave it would not be cost effective to open up and run electricity and heat in the government buildings. Many workers will also be on compressed Day as well therefore not able to do teamwork and collaborate.Many corporations are out on this day. Further with safe track on the metro many people using the metro to shop will be riding which will make metro and area rides congested. This can also be a morale builder for government employees. Further many area commuter buses and trains have reduced schedules.
