Blame The People Responsible For Violence Instead Of The Gaming Community.

Created by A.B. on January 15, 2013

Since the Sandy Hook Shooting, I have seen conversation after conversation blaming video games for causing the violence. However this is an irrational response. Video games can be violent, but so can any other form of entertainment. Look at the movies that promote violence, the music that promotes gang activity, and the TV shows that promote fighting. Why not blame them?

My feeling is that we need to blame those responsible, not something that can be controlled. We need a program that provides psychological help to those who need it so we don't have as many people causing the violent shootings we have experienced in the past few years. If we can find a way to work with them and treat them, be it severe anger management or schizophrenia, we will be better off as a community and a country.
