Agreeing to disagree is no longer adequate when the "Will of the People" is so different in Red States and Blue States. We need not have a wrenching Civil War--we can simply have an amicable divorce from one another. The Democratic States of America and Republican States of America can be strong allies. Both new countries can start out with our current US Constitution, but each country's Congress can immediately begin to make new laws that correspond with the wishes of each country's citizens. It's okay--it really is. Each country will be "happier" once this dysfunctional, unhappy union is divided. Donald Trump is a deal-maker; Hillary Clinton is a world class negotiator as former Secretary of State. As our new respective presidents, surely they can work out a just and sound separation.
