block all development now or in the future of the Grand Canyon and to put the recently lifted freeze on development back

Created by N.P. on September 04, 2014

For five decades the federal government prohibited development on the land in the Grand Canyon where the Colorado River and the little Colorado rivers meet.

Now that the freeze has recently lifted there is a proposal to build an amphitheater, install a gondola and build a mall in a natural wonder and National Park under the guise of helping the impoverished Navajos who may have to move off the reservation to find work.

This is sacred land to the Indians; not only the Navaho, but also the Hopi and Zuni tribes who do NOT want this development to move forward.

Please help us fight this degradation of sacred ground by reinstituting a freeze on any development of land inside the Grand Canyon.
