Block any and all compensation to members of Congress during a government shut down.

Created by S.H. on September 29, 2013

it is unethical to compensate members of Congress during a government shut down when the hundreds of thousands of people who do the people's work are forced to go without their incomes. One of the main objectives of Congress is to create an annual budget. In most jobs, if you cannot perform your performance objectives, you are fired. Lacking that option, the American people should demand that members of Congress forgo compensation until they can agree on a budget. Call it natural consequences. Call it motivation. True leadership is seeking solutions and leading by example. Leadership is NOT the dysfunctional partisanship the American people are currently being forced to endure.
