While true guilt or innocence may never be proven, the repeated attempts to convict Amanda Knox of murder in Italy represent prosecutorial power run amok in that country. Her double-jeopardy conviction even after her acquittal on appeal violates American judicial standards and should not receive any support from the U.S. Government in the event an extradition request is made.
