Burning coal is a major factor in the increase in global warming and environmental damage and destruction like the recent droughts, floods, tornadoes, derechos, tsunamis, and hurricanes like Hurricane Sandy.
Exporting cheap US coal to foreign countries in Asia would only make these events worse by feeding their addiction to dirty fossil fuels.
These Asian countries need to use clean sources of energy and fuel like hydrogen, solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, and ocean wind technology.
Otherwise, global warming will very soon become a runaway train we will never be able to stop.
President Obama, would you please, through executive order, block coal exports to Asia.
