We petition the President to direct the Attorney General to block the $45.2 billion merger of Comcast and Time Warner pursuit to the Clayton Act of 1914 on the grounds that the merger will reasonably and substantially lessen completion or tend to create a monopoly in sections of the United States. By his own admission, the CEO of Comcast cannot assure those sections of the country affected that there will be economic benefits for the consumer and will, moreover, likely result in both higher prices and lower quality of service.
