Block Contraceptive Provisions In the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare)

Created by M.G. on November 25, 2012

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." -The First Amendment

If a person disagrees with abortion, for religious reasons, then they CANNOT be forced to provide insurance for it. If the government forces a Christian-owned business, i.e. Hobby Lobby, to provide contraceptive pills (a method of abortion) for its employees, then it violates the owner's right to the free exercise of his religion. That is a stark violation of the first amendment and therefore unconstitutional. These provisions must be removed from the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
