Despite the current state of the economy and the budget deficit, financing deficit reduction should not be put on the backs of the poor children in our country. These reckless across the board cuts are bad for the children, bad for their families and a huge step backwards towards better educated future contributing citizens.
Congress needs to work together to reconcile our budget deficit, but not at the expense of our most vulnerable.
