Block the FCC from loosening the media ownership rules to allow Rupert Murdoch to own the TV, radio, and newspaper news.

Created by K.M. on December 02, 2012

The FCC is about to change its longstanding rules so that Rupert Murdoch (e.g., Fox News) can own a city's major newspaper, TV stations, and radio stations, and thereby control the people's sources of news. It is NOT in the public interest to allow one party to OWN THE NEWS. And it is not in the public interest for local news media to be owned by distant corporations who care nothing about the local community. President Obama can stop this by using his influence at the FCC. President Obama has promised many times to fight against concentration of media ownership. It is urgent that he keep that promise NOW.
