We ask that consequences for legislative failure be put on the congress, not the american public.
The sequestration was put in place to motivate our legislative bodies to work together and compromise to avoid these crippling cuts. This effort was misguided. It punishes the public for Congressional failure while Congress will experience no consequences.
We ask that the sequestration be abandoned,it clearly has not motivated congress to do anything other than blame the other party for their failure.
We ask that some real consequences be imposed on those responsible for failing to meet these deadlines.
i.e. - Term limits for party leaders effective at the end of this term (with fines for further political involvement), income loss for time wasted, require attendance for all debates.
