Bolster and use our military might correctly to stop genocide.

Created by D.D. on December 18, 2012

The United States of America currently has the most powerful military force in the world, and we could certainly become even more powerful. However, what is it that we use this force to achieve? We protect our interests overseas. This is not entirely a bad thing, as long as it is done correctly, however we could do much better. We propose that our military forces be used to help those that really require it. Imagine if the US military had gotten involved in Cambodia, or Rwanda, or Sudan, or Syria. We could have stopped those atrocities early, but we did not. If we have the power, then is it not our duty to save people from genocide and atrocities perpetrated by tyrannical governments? The UN does not have the power. We have the power and we should use it.
