Cut military spending by 1/3 and direct that money to the states' educational funds. Current military spending is more than 800 Billion dollars. I've had enough of my kid's teachers having to beg for donations of pencils and crayons. I'm sick of my school's PTO having to put on a dozen different fundraisers every school year so teachers can afford a classroom subscription to Ranger Rick. And I'm tired of politicians from both parties telling us there isn't enough money to go around. Let the rich keep their tax breaks. Let the poor have their welfare. AND LET OUR KIDS HAVE A FULLY FUNDED EDUCATION. The department of defense can hold a bake sale the next time they want to buy a bomber.
