The forgiving of all federally held student loan debt would allow the over 1.2 trillion dollars owed by current and former students to be injected into the economy over a period of time. Not only would this be a long term stimulation to the economy, thus creating more jobs and easing unemployment for years to come, but it would also ease the mental and financial distress being felt by so many. This could lead to an increase in the number of small businesses and innovation across many different fields due to the financial breathing room that this forgiveness would entail. More over the housing market could benefit from this forgiveness as the former debtors would have money to buy homes rather than rent. There are so many benefits to be had from this forgiveness. Consider the possibilities.
