No congressman or senator should be allowed to stay in office longer than two consecutive terms. The purpose of this petition is not only about changing the tenure of representatives but also to serve as a reminder that politics is not a career but a public service. Term Limits, in effect, compel representatives of this country to act with conscious and merit and in so doing curb corruption and conflict of interests.
