boycott the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics due to Russia's repeated human rights abuses.

The Russian Federation has repeatedly crushed human rights in their own nation, and Vladimir Putin has ruled the country with an iron fist. With the imprisonment of the feminist band Pussy Riot, imprisonment and intimidation of peaceful protesters, almost nonexistent free speech, and now egregious offenses toward the GLBT community, the Russian Federation has shown that it is no friend of human rights. We the people call on the United States of America to boycott the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games, and to encourage other western nations who respect human rights and dignity to do the same.
