The 2014 Winter Olympic Games will be held next year in Sochi, Russia. Russia is a scary place for LGBT people & any straight ally. The LGBT community is discriminated, beaten, threatened, harassed, and bullied every day in Russia. President, Vladimir Putin has signed into LAW that any tourist/foreign national can be DETAINED for being suspect of being homosexual, lesbian or “pro-gay”. This law means that any Olympic athlete, trainer, reporter, family member or fan that is gay or suspected of being gay or just accused of being gay can go to jail. This is NOT OKAY.The United States Olympic Committee must DEMAND for the withdrawal of these hateful laws under threat of boycott. The world remains ignorant, and the people silent. We can not let history repeat itself; we must act, you must act.
