President Vladimir Putin's new discriminatory laws against LGBT individuals in Russia (both citizens and tourists) are a violation of human rights and do not stand up to the American beliefs that every individual is entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
The United States of America should not be turning a blind eye to the gay witch hunt President Putin is creating in Russia. We should not be supporting the Russian economy by participating in the 2014 Winter Olympic games in Sochi unless President Putin vows to revers these discriminatory laws, and promise safety to LGBT athletes and spectators at the Olympics.
