The governing body of world soccer, FIFA, awarded the 2022 World Cup to Qatar. In preparation for the tournament, Qatar have instituted many infrastructure projects, including the design and construction of new stadiums, in order for their country to successful host the largest sporting event in the world.
These projects have given way to further corruption and slave labor.
There are clear signs of rampant disregard for international human rights laws and the degradation of human dignity on behalf of the Qatari government and World Cup Organization committee. We, as a country, must boycott this World Cup and denounce FIFA for its corruption.
