Break the 25 year rule for the Importation of Vehicles

Due to the 25 year rule in effect American’s are highly restricted and regulated in the importation of rare sought after vehicles. This petition is to bring awareness to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration & U.S. Environmental Protection Agency of the strong desire for these vehicles in America. There are numerous vehicles in the market today that in more ways than one do not conform to the standards that are in place by the NHTSA & U.S. EPA yet you deny us from importing these rare vehicles specifically. In Japan smog laws are more enforced than they are in California making their vehicles have stricter emissions testing and laws than the United States. We would like you to hear us out on this topic and let us import rare vehicles from other countries with no restrictions.
