This is a petition to drive competition. There are already anti-trust laws and protections against Monopolies on the books that need to be enforced on these massive companies. These companies have no competition in many areas and even in areas where they have competition they still will profit from their ownership of parallel services such as internet owned broadcasts and broadcast companies.
If these companies are not forcibly broken up then competition and free market cannot exist.
