Break up cable television and internet service provider companies across the country to create jobs and competition.

Created by J.T. on November 14, 2012

Competition for cable television and internet service is almost non-existant across the country. Cable television and internet service markets are almost all dominated by a single provider. As a result Americans continue to pay high rates for service that is for the most part stagnant.

Breaking up the cable companies or otherwise opening up the markets to competition can promote jobs and lower rates. Internet service for one has long since gone from being a luxury to a utility that most Americans need not to mention the educational benefits it opens up to our children.

Help put an end to cable companies nickel and diming Americans with their overpriced services and device rentals. Soon it will be 2013 and no American should still be paying $60 a month to have broadband internet service.
