Currently the university accreditation process prevents e-universities from providing low cost or no cost college credit that is recognized and accepted.
There are a growing number of courses available on-line from our best universities like MIT and Harvard. If a new E-University was able to create a course that tested students on the free courses to ensure comprehension and mastery of the subjects, the new model would make college more affordable to the poor and middle class Americans that are increasingly shut out of higher academic pursuits due to rising costs. The answer is not more student loans, it is the creation of accredited 4-year programs that cost less than $10,000!
