This petition is asking the White House to instruct USDOJ to open Anti-Trust and Corruption investigation and lawsuit into Comcast Business Practices and de-facto monopoly in delivering services and content to many geographies.
Cable companies and especially Comcast have never been operating under competitive market rules. As such the US public and government has continually granted them special rules and special treatment while allowing them to act as a fully competitive private enterprises.
Their ability to pick winners and losers in all aspects of their business is what is strangling innovation, restricting access and damaging consumers.
Bundling, Net Neutrality, Pricing Policy, Customer Service are all areas where the impact of their monopoly position can be clearly seen.
