Our broadband infrastructure is a joke. A few large companies like Comcast and CenturyLink provide internet service without competition and no incentive to compete. This has led to high prices and poo services. Our internet service is lagging far behind the rest of world. Countries like Japan, Korea and England all have significantly faster internet at lower prices than us. The United States barely ranks in the top twenty in internet speed across the globe. It is about time we caught up with the rest of the world. We need to break up this monopoly and give the American consumer options to force internet service providers to deliver a decent service at a reasonable price
