The mountain village of Madaya, in southwestern Syria is under siege by Hezbollah and the Syrian Army. The two military groups are attempting to starve the village of 40,000 into submission to Bashar al-Assad. Members of a rebel group allied with al Quaeda are in the village, but the starvation is not killing them. Rather, the elderly and young children are dying, with the death toll at 31 at least. The United States of America, leader of the free and humane world, must assist the desperate civilians who have called upon America for help. No matter what is necessary, whether diplomatic or military, the famished people of Madaya must be freed from the inhumane grip of Assad and Hezbollah.
