I am a US born citizen. I brought son Adam Kingdon to the US in 1979. I was told by Immigration that he had citizenship through me. In 2015 he applied for a US passport to meet his dying birth father in the UK. He was told he was a US citizen but had no documentation. We immediately contacted Immigration in Cleveland OH. I was told to file a N-600 for a $600. This was a wrong form and was denied. I was then told to file a I-130. This was approved. At a meeting with 2 Immigration Officers in Cleveland we were told that Adam could use a UK passport to make the trip to the UK. When trying to return he was told his ESTA had been revoked and he wasn't allowed to board. He has a SS#, drivers license and is listed on SAVE as a US citizen. He has worked since age 12. His family needs him home.
