It is time we stop invading countries and putting Americans in harm's way. Not only should combat operations cease across the Middle East, but all troops, including those in Europe, Asia and the rest of the world should be brought home without delay.
Maintaining our military overseas is costing us too much, and CIA officer Michael Scheuer has repeatedly shown that being involved in ventures overseas makes America less safe. U.S. Foreign policy has supported and in some cases continues to support corrupt leaders be it in the Middle East or in Latin America, or anywhere else in the world.
While some might argue that this is isolationist, it is really a non-interventionist foreign policy, much like Switzerland, who engages the world not through force, but through trade.
