The events at the Fukushima Daichii reactor constitute an immediate and severe threat to the security of the United States. There is strong evidence the nation of Japan is severely negligent in addressing this danger, and appears to be operating in a mixture of denial, humiliation, severe mental stress and incompetence. This is unacceptable. The consequences of a full meltdown at the Daichii nuclear plant would directly threaten tens of millions living along the US west coast.
President Obama must act at once, and direct all military, economic and political force to bear on the nation of Japan and make it resolve this crisis.
